Just when I needed the 'portability' factor of my PowerBook, the (exchange programme) battery died on me... Wasn't the charger as I got the same result with the 2 I've got so took the PB into the Genius Bar at the Brighton Store (then just opened) and the tested it for me... Battery was very dead so I bought one from them £80+ due to the urgency and they tested that it was charging OK before I left the store...
I'm sure you can get alternative batteries elsewhere for less but the service I got met my immediate need well ! I have a 1.5 Ghz Power PC G4 with OSX 10.4.11. The info on the battery is: Battery Installed: Yes First low level warning: No Full charge capacity mAh: 681 Remaining Capacity mAh: 669 Amperage mA: 0 Voltage mV: 12267 Cycle count: 123 AC Charger watts: 50 Connected: Yes Charging: No Any suggestions or do I assume the battery has come to the end of its useful life?
