I would highly recommend a TruePower battery, if they make one for your
model of laptop. See http://fastmac.com/laptop.php. I replaced my
MacBook Pro battery with one of these in May 09, and posted an update
on its progress a while later. You can search the SMUG archive and find
it, I'm sure. The battery's still working great and holds a bigger
charge than the original Apple one. Graham on 21/9/09 08:48 Sam - MacAmbulance sent the following: If a battery's got to a point where it only holds half an hour it's generally time to replace it, especially at the age that a PowerBook's battery must be by now. You could try eBay but it's a bit of a lottery, there are many cheap knockoffs from China which have similar capacities from the beginning! That being said I've also bought some really good batteries from eBay, it's usually a case of contacting the seller if the capacity's not what you'd expect. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
