I am currently running disc utility on my 1 Tb Time Capsule. The problem is supposedly not in the Time Machine software, but in my Time Capsule (wifi base station plus disc).
It is very slow. I'll report on what happens. I am always concerned, trying to repair something, because the software used is rather more savage than nice little apps like word processors!
