Suggestions, please, on the following. Over the next 2-3 years I plan
to scan all our family pics into my iMac. There are several hundred
going back to the 1920s, so I will select, say, 150 important ones. I
want to produce an album-cum-storybook, with fairly long captions,
which will be passed to the grandchildren (x4). They have computers,
but not Macs, and it also needs to be produced in "book" form (not
necessarily in colour) for those of the family without computers.
My idea is to make up the album as a series of pages, perhaps A4 in
landscape format, leaving space at the edges for punching holes and
loose leaf binding, with the e-versions being put on DVD or memory
sticks.
What can I use that will be openable by others and can be printed,
perhaps by an outside agency? Is the inbuilt "album" on iPhoto
suitable, it seems to be useful only if one is sending off for a Mac-
produced book - or is that only in the States? Would I be able to do
it in Word?
Many thanks for ideas
John N
