If they can link your email to your visit to the website, then they
can get your IP from the web server logs, but it can't be done from
the email alone.

THe email exchanges were before I ever visited the website. Which was once when
I clicked on the link inside this person's email.
I was given the email that clearly referred to to the website as it was such
and such @ such and such .com
Sooo...from just a normal exchange of emails-- me using gmail.com--- I can't be
tracked?
The visit to the website was separate from any email exchanges.
