I was asking about this at the weekend. The problem is not the power supply, but a failure of the disc in trying to back up. I ran Disc Utilities on the disc, but it did not cure the problem. I reported this.
Someone suggested using Disc Warrior. I have tried to use up to date versions of both Disc Warrior and Drive Genius, running from their DVDs. Neither would see the Time Capsule disc, when connected by both ethernet and usb. The machine I was running the DVD on is an old G5 iMac, with 2 Gb RAM. Can someone tell me how I get Disc Warrior or Drive Genius, on DVD, to recognise external discs? (I could try loadding the programs onto a faster machine and run from the hard disc. However, I am using my MBP for a massive editing job, and don't want to interfere with this. I'm trying to keep away from using this machine!)
