You have to be running Parallels or VM Fusion to access your Windows apps. If 
you are thinking of the Parallels Coherence mode or its Fusion equivalent then 
VirtualBox has, if not 100% the same at least 95%, Seamless Mode. You get the 
Windows taskbar sitting just above the Dock but do not see a VirtualBox window. 
Would this be what you seek?
