Hi Phil
Try setting word to show the formatting elements, so that the carriage
return shows up as a character, then copy it, go to find/replace and
paste the carriage return into the find box, leave the replace box
blank and click replace all.
Regards
Sam

All,
Does anybody know of an application that will strip out unnecessary
carriage returns in a Word (or rtf or text) document. A translator
has supplied me some copy in which they've inserted lots of
unnecessary carriage returns, presumably in order to make the column
width look like the finished document layout. Of course it's now a
painful nightmare to drop the new text into InDesign.
