Sam,

Restart/track pad didn't work and it's not a non-standard disc or one with a 
label. Looking closely at the laptop, I think it might have been trodden on by 
a six year old (there's a lesson there about not leaving a laptop on the 
floor). There's a definite bow to the case in the area of the CD drive and I 
think that's jamming the eject. Hmmmmm.

How easy/difficult  is it to disassemble so I can get the CD out and then tweak 
the case straight?
