I use Carbonite for online backup and have had to use it in anger on one 
occasion. It basically worked fine – although some files appeared to restore 
with screwed permissions. I still have Carbonite  running and will probably 
renew when the subs become due, but I've also bought a big drive for Time 
Machine.
