Thanks to all who took the time to reply to my question. The various opinions gave me food for thought. I am err ing towards sending all my mail accounts through gmail and using that as my archive. It's search to find old emails is IMO better than mobile me or mail. It's also free and doesn't take up any of my disc space. Cheers
