I thought that iPad and iPod were 'mobil devices'. Any inbuilt lodspeaker would be pretty tinny. The sort of headphone which would not be a large size is unlikely ( I would have thought) do just to any baroque or classical usic.
I suppose it would be ok for listening to boop-a-doop

Wunderadio is the iPhone/iPad app for Internet radio stations. Absolutely brilliant. You can pick up almost all the UK stations as well. Well worth the cost.
