Hello Smuggers, This morning I turned on a couple of external drives I use to back up my photo library. When I did a strange pop-up appeared that showed the 2 discs being 'compared for back up options'. After a couple of minutes it disappeared. Below this was an ad for various storage products being sold by macsales.com. no browsers and no other major software was running.
My question is, how did this get onto my MacBook? (running 10.6.4) and how do I get rid of it? Secondly could this be why various things (esp. Safari) have had a tendency to run very slowly for the last 2-3 days? I'd appreciate any suggestions as to how to get things back to normal.
