There's always a "new model just around the corner"...

My advice is to buy the biggest you can afford. I bought an 16GB thinking that
would be fine but seriously underestimated how much I'd use it and want to
store on it. I wished I'd spent the extra and got the 32GB. I much prefer
surfing the web and reading RSS stuff on my iPad - it turns the internet into a
magazine.

Buy a file handling app like Goodreader or similar to let you store documents
you need to read on the go and it now allows you to markup and annotate PDF
files too. And thought it's now increased to £1.19 it's still a bargain.

Other advice is to buy Pocket Universe - superb, especially on the 3G iPad.
Don't forget the free Dropbox app as well, Wikipanion and Wikihood, Emerald
Observatory, Amazing HD for lovely wallpaper and finally France 24 to improve
your French.

There are clearly thousands more :-)
