A while ago the location service on my iphone got stuck for about a week thinking i was in the middle of the serpentine pond in hyde park london. It went back to normal after about a week, but it sure was annoying because it was adding that location to every photo I took etc.
If it is the gps location thats thinking youre in london, then at least you have the right continent... maybe to get it back to brighton, try walking around town with Wifi and data and everything turned on, that way when you walk past a mcdonalds or a coffee shop with national wifi such as BT or the cloud it might seee it and recognize your location again.
