If os9 doesn't support usb2 then it would make no difference which
card you put in. I think your best course of action/path of least
resistance would be to swap the KVM switch with another one.
The other least elegant way, which I have ended up doing is to run USB
extension cables to your desk where the KVM box is, and manually plug
the keyboard+mouse into whichever computer your using. So the KVM is
only switching video, and you switch the controls over yourself.
I've always found kvms a bit clunky and usually had to do some
variation of manual switching either with the controls or the video.
The most reliable ones I have ever used were adderview brand ones, but
I don't think they do one which is USB and dvi.

Can anyone advise? From another list.
I have an old G4 tower (graphite) which runs OS9, because there is
scanner software on the machine that is classic only. I installed a
dvi-card in the tower, and connected it to a Geffen DVI KVM switcher
so that I can use it on my 23" Cinema HD display. The screen appears,
but the keyboard and mouse do not work. I found out that the switcher
requires USB 2, while the G4 tower is USB 1.
The problem is that OS9 apparently has a problem with USB 2:
unsupported. Is there any PCI-card I could use under OS9? Any
recommendations?
The scanner is a Screen Cezanne, a software update to OSX costs 1000
plus SCSI-solution, so I prefer to work with that 1999 G4.
All the best,
