If you're planning on disconnecting your landline, why not look at a VOIP provider other than Skype that would allow you to port your landline to them (I've used Voipfone in the past and the porting cost was £20 with monthly line rental at £2); you could then use a SIP client on your phone, PC, VOIP deskphone etc rather than Skype and also have the line divert to your mobile when you weren't available on SIP clients.
Voipfone offer a free 05xxx number with their accounts so you can "try before you buy". Obviously all this goes out of the window if you are an avid Skype user and lots of people call you Skype2Skype as they use a proprietary systems and don't interface with other SIP providers.
