Hi... I have just at last splashed out on a Nikon Coolscan IV-ED scanner to convert my slides into digital files. I bought it on e-Bay and believe that it can work under Mac OSX with the updated scanner software from the Nikon Website.
I downloaded what is supposed to be Nikon Scan 4 software for Mac OSX, which comes up as an .sit file. This would normally expand to something like a .dmg file. In my instance, it expands into a blue folder called Nikon Scan 4 but which says No Items underneath it! Despite this, the information window says that these no items come to 29.4MBs. Can anyone enlighten me how to get this file to become a fully operational programme for my expensive scanner? By the way, I am runnint a PowerBook G4 under OS10.4.11.
