I don't know if this is the same link that you used.
The attached textedit file contains links to download NS4 for Mac and also the update to NS4.02.
Details also seem to indicate that it is available OSX 10.4.11.
I tested the download of 29.5 MB and got the blue folder containing an installer and licence (2 files). That I assume loads NS 4.0, which can be upgraded to NS4.02 with the other link.
Hope that may help.
Keith

PS. Might have been better if I had added the attachment!!!!

Hi...

I have just at last splashed out on a Nikon Coolscan IV-ED scanner to convert my slides into digital files. I bought it on e-Bay and believe that it can work under Mac OSX with the updated scanner software from the Nikon Website.

I downloaded what is supposed to be Nikon Scan 4 software for Mac OSX, which comes up as an .sit file. This would normally expand to something like a .dmg file. In my instance, it expands into a blue folder called Nikon Scan 4 but which says No Items underneath it! Despite this, the information window says that these no items come to 29.4MBs.

Can anyone enlighten me how to get this file to become a fully operational programme for my expensive scanner?

By the way, I am runnint a PowerBook G4 under OS10.4.11.
