Is that the much plugged LION or is that a whole new version such as 11 ?????????
Yes, 10.7 is codenamed Lion.
Pundits occasionally amuse themselves wondering what will come after OS X 10.9 [to give it its full name). I wouldn't be surprised if they either
a) abandon numbering (as the HTML spec has done) except for codenames and reference build codes (compare the way that we distinguish Macbooks -- they used to have numbers too, my first one was a 150, then a 1400 (?), etc. I think it stopped at G3 Powerbook. But larger families are still distinguished from one another -- Powerbook, ibook, MacBook, MBP etc)
b) carry on numbering thus: 10.10, 10.11 -- and save 'OS XI' for a major, currently unknown, moment (such as OS X was with the switch to unix
And every single one will be much-anticipated, and full of bugs, and (hopefully) better than the last one;)
