Also for sale on Amazon. Starts around £46 (incl postage) and goes upwards, depending on each seller's price/postage.

I got an email from O2 last week to say they currently sell AppleCare
for iPhone for £50 online.

If you look on eBay you can find it for even less.

This message was sent from my iPhone so please excuse any punctuation
or spelling mistakes.

Thanks Paul

To clarify, there is gunge under the screen and not ginger :)

Sent from my phone, which may be an iPhone.

Russell,

Yes, for £61 you can extend up to 2 years provided it is less than one year
old (i.e. still under original one year warranty) - check out this link:

O2 also have an insurance scheme - but it is more expensive (£15/mth) and
covers a lot more, and it probably needs to be taken out when iPhone is new.

Subject: [sussex_mug] iPhone 4 and Applecare

Hi all

If I was to get an iPhone from O2, would I be able to take out AppleCare?

My first 3GS developed a cracked case within warrantee. The
replacement is about 6 months old, out if it's 90-day
replacement-so-it's-a-shorter-warrantee and is troublesome. There is
ginger under the screen (I guess from a dodgy seal), the mute switch
is temperamental, the gps often fails to switch off necessitating a
restart and the case is cracked at the dock connector port. Not to
mention that various apps that both colleagues and I run seem slower
and more likely to crash out on my phone compared to theirs.

I was hoping to pretend all was well till iPhone 5, but I have a
sinking feeling I won't be able to indulge in bleeding edge at the
next iteration. Ho hum. But I would rather have the protection of
Applecare if I can get it, given my experience of this particular
handset.

Thanks

Russell
