I keep quiet about my prog-rock leanings Rob so I'm impressed that you should feel able to admit to them on a public forum.
It was ambient, neo-classical, World music leanings that I was hoping to indulge with an iPad, Garageband, a pair of headphones, and a sunny day in the Kemp Town gardens, but it seems I can only do that in 4/4. Maybe I'll just try and write a boy-band hit single instead. Hey, how about an iPad app that composes a pop song automatically in GarageBand? You just hum a melody into the mic, give it a few clichéd snatches of lyric and press the "compose" button. The app could even submit "your" song to the iTunes store. Phil PS. Sorry Jason, a bit OT I know. I'll pipe down now. -- Phil Ward Skype: aphilw E: [email protected] W: www.philward.biz W: www.myspace.com/philwardmusic W: www.myspace.com/thegalleonsband • Freelance writer and product designer. • Exclusive UK distributor for Veillette Guitars. www.veilletteguitars.com. • Consultant Designer of the Acoustic Energy AE22 nearfield monitor. • Regular contributor to Sound on Sound and Performing Musician magazines.
