I love it that the SongSmith web site makes a big deal of it's use in the classroom. What exactly is its contribution to learning? Presumably it is to teach the idea that we can all achieve everything we want in life simply by pressing a couple of buttons? OK, grumpy old luddite moment over. Perhaps I should retire for all time to a hermitage and spend the rest of my days banging away (in 7/4) on a battered old xylopnone.
