I needed a new printer over a year ago, and reasoned that as 90% of my
printing was B/W a laser printer was best. I got a Canon LBP3010 for
under £100, comes with a 50% cartridge (700 prints), then1500 prints
per cartridge (£55), better quality than an inkjet and doesn't block
or dry up. For my colour photos (from camera) I pop along to Tesco,
which does an instant, cheapish print out service from a stick. John N
