'tis unlikely to be your gMail account that's been hacked, unless you've got a really lame password, which gMail should warn you about when you register. Its more likely to be a computer (PC) that has your email address in it's 'recently used' list that has been infected by a virus.
Password hints. An 'e' is a backwards 3, even in capitals or it could even be a £ or, come to that a € symbol. An 'i' or an 'l' could be a 1 or, lets face it a '|' vertical bar. An 's' could be a 5 A 'z' could be a 2.
