And also, do remember that when the Macintosh was introduced back in 1984, 
there was NOTHING a user could do to it apart from use it and plug in a 
peripheral. If you wanted to open the case you had to buy a special Apple tool 
like a foot long allen key and a case cracker too! Given that Apple now allow 
us to undo two screws and increase the memory, I'd say that they were getting 
LESS controlling. :)
