Do keep up posted Andy! I, like you, am waiting. 10.8.1 is not out, with .2 released for Developer review.... I've still not taken the plunge, but if you go first, let me know your thoughts.
Specifically, I want to know that it doesn't get slower, and animations don't start getting laggy again.
