My iCal has been refusing to respond. I discovered to day that I could get one
action out of it, if I was quick, when I launched it. So I tried to move from
one month to another, and then to another. It would do the first, but not the
second.

Instead of force quitting, I got on with something else, and noticed out of the
corner of my eye some motion on my screen. iCal had turned to that second,
other month. It now works fine.

So my guess is that my problem was a slow link up with iCloud.

Maybe it's helpful for others to know about this. It seems that I had to wait
about a minute. I suppose some sort of house keeping was being done, which I
had no idea about. So if your iCal apps seem to freeze, waiting may provide a
cure.
