Hi Stephen LaCie and OWC both have SSD thunderbolt enclosures. But you'd be better off getting someone to fit an internal SSD drive. If you have a pre-2011 thunderbolt iMac you can buy the SSD pressure wall to mount the SSD drive under the motherboard. If you have the mid-2011 model then you either have to saw down the pressure wall to fit, or mount the SSD drive under the optical drive (did this for a client last week and it worked brilliantly).
There are guides available if you can't find someone in your area to do the install.
