Sadly no lite versions, but you can, I think, get a 30 day free trial of 
InDesign, but it has a steep learning curve so wouldn't recommend that route 
for a one off.
Maybe you could send me your stuff - text, pic jpgs and advert dimensions and I 
could have a look at it (no charge!) Also check with the magazine's printer 
whether they want RGB or CMYK files.
