Hi Derek, 

If you go into Mail - Preferences - Accounts.
Then highlight the e-mail account on the left.
Under the 'Account Information' tab
At the bottom, on the right, what is next to TLS Certificate in the drop down 
menu?
I would change it to "None"

Try that?
