Derek,
I am still getting the yellow banner etc.
For under Mail>Prefs>Advanced for my Apple email authentication it says Apple 
Token and for a gmail account it says password and for a POP account it also 
says password. Guess you also should have those selected depending on what sort 
of email it is. 
The experts must be stuck in the snow!
