Hi people,

We have had an AirPort Extreme base station connected to a Netgear DG384 modem
for about a year and it all works beautifully. The Airport Extreme has always
had Access Control enabled to allow only our personal devices access to our
network by specifying their MAC addresses to the Airport Extreme.

Yesterday we bought an Airport Express to allow us to connect the stereo in the
lounge to it to use for AirPlay and to do this we need to extend the existing
network to the Express. The problem is that the Express only connects, lights
up green and has working AirPlay if I switch off the Access Control on the
Extreme Base Station - with it enabled I get the flashing amber light against
the Express in AirPort Utility and there is no Airplay (surprise!)

Is there a way to maintain out Access Control security and still have the
Express connected to the Network or will we have to forgo that? I had hoped to
simply add the MAC address of the Express to our Access Control list but I
can't find it (if that's how it works anyway).

We are using the latest AirPort Utility and both routers are updated to the
latest firmware. Running OS X 10.8.2

I would provide more information but I don't know what you would need to know,
so just ask!

Thanks in advance.

Stephen
