Dear Smuggers A friend has got one of these and has found that the video files are MTS - but she wants to use as MOV. There are loads of converters that claim to work but she has had issues with all of them... Does anyone know if you can export from these via the HDMI or AVI/digital out ports in the way that iMovie used to work with firewire?
Failing that the voice of experience (rather than google) on the best way to convert these files would be very welcome.. currently we seem to have a two-stage process with Handbrake to mp4 and then other software (MPEG Streamclip, I think she said) to MOV (into Final Cut Pro) [I haven't actually been able to get my hands on her set-up to work out why all even though that sounds a bit odd. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
