Lemme see... Quicksilver. It's a custom launcher. I use it mostly to open programs from keyboard shortcuts. I haven't seen the Dock for months.
Lightroom (with a load of plugins) for photos. Caffeine to stop my display from going to sleep Little Snitch to monitor internet traffic. VLC for playing video files.
