Re. Brother printers - I bought this one from Amazon in November 2011. I also bought the compatible cartridges from Amazon. It worked brilliantly at first, but stopped working about 13 months later), when I got a message on it saying that it was a 4F error. I contacted Brother support, who told me that this error is caused by using compatible inks. This meant I had to pay for any repairs (and the cost they quoted was quite high. I considered paying for this, but decided that it wasn't worth it if I then I had to buy the standard Brother cartridges, which all appear to be expensive.
So, I'm back to using my non-wireless HP printer, which is several years old, but at least it works.
