All very interesting. Hadn't heard of SSHD... I did a little searching and yes, clearly SSD is faster. I must say I'm delighted by my recent install (as Sam encouraged) silent, super fast, much more affordable at the moment, and yes, using DaisyDisk to ensure regular housekeeping is no bad thing. I'm a non-hoarder, and TBs of data that is long forgotten rather bothers me!!
My Crucial 256GB SSD has made my MBPro not only run like new, but like a brand new model.
