I have plugged it in to my computer... this is how I was trying to restore it. I have an ipad too on the same account so it should be backed up...

Cheers

Plug it in to your computer? This should be read in the context that I
don't actually know but that sounds like it wants to set itself up all
over. Hope you have a backup....

I'm trying to restore my son's iPad 2 as he did something to it (I think he
tried to upgrade the OS although I don't know how without the password). I've
had several error messages which didn't explain the error but my hard disk is
quite full so it might have ben that. I eventually managed to restore it but it
is still not working and I'm getting the image of a cable and the iTunes icon
on the iPad screen. Any clues as to how to sort this out?

Thanks

Rebekah
