I miss the 'lift for Siri' but have actually got to like hey Siri. I am working 
on something and tell him to make an appointment or open one of the 8 million 
apps I have that need to launch to sync. 

If they're plugged in I can do iPhone and iPad simultaneously;)

But if you want to stop him picking up stray sounds maybe airplane mode at 
night? (You can tell Siri to turn that on too)
