Thanks guys,  looks like that's the cause, must have picked up something from 
the television.  Just tried "Hey Siri" plugged in and lock cover on and asking 
for flight mode and it works, can't switch it back on though need to go to 
settings for that.  Need to investigate "Hey Siri" a bit further.
