Anyone have any ideas here? I have a 27" iMac with 3 Tb fusion drive, running Mavericks. Last night I made sure all my software and apps were up to date, opened disk utility and ran "Repair Disk Permissions" backed up my system using Carbon Copy Cloner, then set the update in motion.
This morning, I copied the Yosemite installer from my applications folder to an 8 gig memory stick, then initiated the install. I got a grey screen with the Apple logo and a grey progress bar which slowly moved to about one tenth of the way across its length and progress appears to have stopped, the screen has now been like this almost six hours which does not feel right to me.
