I’d ask them to give you a good reason why not!

I’m running it on my iPod touch 5th generation and my iPad Air and I think it’s 
excellent on both. It brings some great stuff to the iPad (keyboard trackpad 
and slide over are so useful) but it’s given me many improvements on my iPod 
without slowing down at all. No crashes or anything.

I’d say, upgrade it right away.

P.S. In reference to another post, it’s iOS 9.0.1 which has been released 
today, not iOS 9.1 - in case you feel you’re missing out ;-)
