I have followed various `self help` actions posted on some `problem solving`
sites but cannot get my iMac past a white screen. It is used very little
spending most of its life in `sleep` mode.
When I have needed it it has worked perfectly and i`ve rather taken for granted
that it always will! Until now!
Has it died of boredom and neglect?

Are there any idiot-proof ways to restore it to life.

 I am mostly housebound having a fairly full-time `caring` function, i.e.:- I
see no way of carrying it along to Churchill Square, my own mature age and
health issues also being a deciding factor.

Thanks, Keith

PS, I am a SMUG member but as I`ve never asked anything before I`m not sure if
Ive gone about asking for help correctly.
