Try selecting each individual account's junk folder and see if you can empty
it? Or rebuild each junk mailbox?

No the folder is not empty, that's the thing Sam.I can only delete from my MBP.
On the iMac I can read them or highlight the entire range of emails then click
on the delete button. On the iMac the button is always greyed out. It's not a
big deal, it's just annoying because when there is lots of junk I have to
highlight the first one then go to the bottom of the list and hold the shift
key and click on the last one to highlight the whole lot, then click on the
delete button.
I just don't like it when something is not working right. It should be the same
on both my computers.????????
