However, when I click the phone in the Photos sidebar it shows the contents of the phone but does NOT indicate which images are pictures and which are videos, I was about to feed back that this did not work but I happened to notice that one of the images on the screen was the first frame of one of the videos, I selected it, hit import, and the video is now in the videos folder.
