Evening all Trying to get my head around what dongles I need for a soon to arrive MBPro 2018. Have to say it feels rather annoyingly confusing for Apple?!?!
Ideally I want one dongle, that can connect an external USB drive and my 21" Apple Display (which only has DVI or mini-display). The Apple dongles do seem a little pricey, and I've scoured Amazon. But it seems Thunderbolt 3 USB-C is different to standard USB-C....?! Anyone got any buying tips or a good source that makes it easy to make sure I purchase correctly?! Until I get the dongle, I can't restore my TimeMachine backup to the new machine!
