Hi everyone
Work has replaced my old Macbook Air (2015, with an almost identical one
from 2017, sigh) and I want to replace the battery on the old one which
has been complaining via the menu it needs replacing for months, and
doesn't hold a charge for long.
I went to book a repair/replacement and found lots of links to the
consumer laws (summary: stuff should work at least five-seven years).
https://www.apple.com/uk/legal/statutory-warranty/
Does anyone here know what line they take on batteries? I know the usual
line is that batteries wear out and so they're not covered but I can't
find any explicit mention of that. I'm sure Apple insist they are not
but does anyone know of cases where they accepted they were covered
under the law?
Thanks
Jason
