I would watch what it does to the battery and data on a Surface. It tends to 
work quietly in the background and therefore could eat up both of out and 
about. Also I believe you need a separate account per computer. A scheduled 
back up (eg at 3 am) to a machine with a hard drive attached would mean you can 
store both on one account (the machine with the drive).
