Hi Martin, I would recommend the Brighton Apple Store for a replacement battery.
I haven’t tried an iPad battery yet, you need to book a slot so they can order the correct battery, for a new iPhone battery (I’ve done at least two there), it takes about 1 hour. And there is a Costa close by if you get fed up with browsing in the Apple Store. Use this phone number, 01273 740500, it will probably go to an Apple call centre, during the call they will ask you which Apple Store you want to use. I recall the Guildford store is a retailer, not sure but they need to send your iPad away?
