Laurie, do you know what the equivalence is between your current GS-7 rating and what you would be as a service member? I don't know myself, but I'm curious. I do know that in the standard military there are nine enlisted ranks (E1�E9), four warrant officer ranks (W1�W4), and ten commissioned officer ranks (O1�O10; the eleventh, O11, has not been used since WW II). The civilian GS scale ranges from GS-1 to GS-16, with positions higher than that being executive/political appointments.
